Jerusalem

The fruit salad of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.BT

The subtitle above speaks truth. Judaism, Christianity, and Islam all share religious sites within the walls of Jerusalem. However, since it is geographically located within the borders of Israel it will be considered a Jewish location for the sake of analysis.

Typically, believers and tourists alike would visit Jerusalem for its heritage. Unlike other religions, followers of Judaism, a monotheistic religion, do not come to religious sites to worship a certain god but will come in respect. They will still consider certain locations as sacred, but in cases like the Mount of Zion where King David's tomb is located, Jews will not worship King David.

One of the holiest places in all of Jerusalem is The Western Wall a.k.a. "The Wailing Wall". Nearly obliterated during the era of Roman occupation The Western Wall is a remnant of Jerusalem's second temple. Considered to be on holy grounds, anybody wishing to visit this sizable wall  today will be required to wear a Jewish kippa before entering.

Yet another site up for consideration would be the Mount of Olives. From the name itself you've probably guessed it already. The place is famous for the olive trees that used to grow there. Over 3,000 years old, this area encompasses several Christian sites, but the Tomb of Zechariah the prophet is worth mentioning.
